On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am very pleased to announce that we have secured the services of Matthew McCallumore to lead our culinary operation for the 2012 season – and hopefully beyond. We are confident that you will be very pleased with quality of the food and the level of service that you receive in our restaurant this year. As was the case last season, the restaurant and lounge will remain formally open to the public.

Chef Matt grew up in Port Huron and after completing his internship at the Bradley Inn (Maine), graduated from the Great Lakes Culinary Institute in 2001. In addition to one season at SCRCC, Matt has also worked at the Grand Traverse Resort, The Bowery, Azur by Le Bernadin at La Quinta resort, Leo’s in Grand Rapids, and most recently with the Compass Group in Detroit. Chef Matt firmly believes that fresh, quality ingredients make the best dishes and he is looking forward to bringing you an exciting new menu.
