I grew up in Marine City and went to school at SCCC for Restaurant Management. I worked as dining room manager at The River Crab in St. Clair Michigan in the late 70′s. I have also worked both front and back of the house as manager for The Village Inn in St. Clair in the 80′s. Worked for Rattle Run Golf Course for 10 years and went on to buy my own restaurant The Little Bar in Marine City in 2005. I’m very excited to be part of the team here at St. Clair River Country Club and believe my assets and people skills along with other attributes will help benefit the Club.

I am a resident of Sandusky where I was born and live now with my wonderful wife of 11 years Jill and our two children, Annabelle -10 yrs and Jackson – 8 yrs. I graduated from Ferris State University’s Professional Golf Management Program in the winter of 1999. After graduating from Ferris, I started working in the golf business at Walnut Creek Country Club as there Assistant Golf Professional and Tournament Director. I worked there for 4 years. From there, I started working here at St. Clair River Country Club as your Assistant Golf Professional for 3 years. I left for one season to go to the Country Club of Jackson as their Assistant Golf Professional until returning the next year here to take over the position of Head Gold Professional in 2009 and working happily ever since.

I grew up in St. Clair Shores and now live in Chesterfield. My wife and I have 2 children. Lauren is 4 and our son Joshua is 2. I have worked on Golf Courses for 17 years. I started out working at St. Clair Shores Country Club while attending college and fell in love with the job enough to pursue it as a career. I graduated from Michigan State with a degree in Turfgrass Management. While attending school I did an internship at Deepdale Golf Course on Long Island, New York for a summer. After school I worked as an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Burning Tree Country Club, Oakland Hills Country Club, and Great Oaks Country Club before arriving here at SCRCC.
Matt McCallumore, Chef
I am very excited to bring you a new Menu and Fresh Food as your Chef. I am a local guy from Port Huron and I graduated from the Great Lakes Culinary Institute in 2001. I completed internships at The Bradley Inn in Maine and Azur by Le Bernadin in LaQuinta California. I have worked at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, The Bowery and Bowers Harbor Inn, The River Crab, St. Clair River Country Club and most recently Leo’s Seafood Restaurant in Grand Rapids Michigan. These restaurants are all known for being the best, and serving only top quality fresh food. My goal is to give the St. Clair River Country Club the reputation of having the best food in the State. I will achieve this by serving fresh high quality food that my team and I have prepared. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your suggestions.
